- Abstract:
  The article presents an interview with U.S. National Book Foundation (NBF) executive director Lisa Lucas who discusses various topics including her roles as the first woman and first black person to run the NBF. American National Book Awards wins by four black authors are addressed, along with a plan to get more Americans to read books. Lucas' admiration for the books "The Sport of Kings: A Novel" by C.E. Morgan and "Evicted" by Matthew Desmond is assessed.
